Camp Bowie Fall Festival + Makers Market

LComm was challenged with creating, promoting, and managing the logistics and details of the first ever Camp Bowie District Fall Festival + Makers Market in November of 2018. The intention of the event was to create a family-friendly community fall festival in Camp Bowie, presenting small artisan pop-up vendors featuring locally sourced and curated makers. As a result of the event in Camp Bowie District, it would drive awareness and increase traffic along The Boulevard and into the many unique retailers and restaurants in the area. Along with a pop-up market, the event featured live music, Camp Bowie vendors, games, and simple food and drink.

 

As part of the new marketing development, Camp Bowie saw great success in the community event, almost tripling their goal attendance of 1,500 people. LComm worked alongside the Camp Bowie Board of Directors, Fort Worth Makers non-profit group, and outside vendors in preparation of the event. All logistics before, during, and after were handled by our team, as well as the creative design, promotion, and execution of all event collateral.

The Kelly at Samuels Ave. Grand Opening

In 2018 Embrey Partners was honored by the Texas Historical Commission and Historic Fort Worth for its complete restoration of the historic and stately Garvey-Viehl-Kelley House located on Samuels Avenue. The Garvey House, as it is colloquially known, is the centerpiece around which Embrey constructed its upscale, 353-unit apartment complex called the Kelley at Samuels Avenue. Lcomm was in charge of planning, coordinating, and executing the Grand Opening & historic celebration, from start to finish.

 

From coordinating schedules of key dignitaries, managing budgets and details of event logistics, down to the creative design and communications, Lcomm managed the entire event with our hands-on event team. Program specifics and key speakers were systematized by the team with incredible detail, and all catering, bar and staffing were handled accordingly. The overall goal of the event was to honor Embrey Partners for their work in preserving the Garvey house, and The Kelly at Samuels Avenue for their grand apartment opening.

United Community Centers Full Plate

LComm was approached by United Community Centers in Fort Worth in order to plan, manage, and promote attendance & engagement among United Community Centers supporters and raise general awareness for the Full Plate Dinner and Silent Auction event. The dinner featured a local chef, who prepared the menu for the evening. Ticket sales started at $100 per person or tables were available to host for $1,500. Lcomm took charge of the silent auction that took place during the evening, which include local getaways, gift certificates and more. The team’s objectives of the event were to engage new prospective donors, and generate local news coverage and buzz. Target audiences were identified, and the team got to work.

 

With their work cut out for them after being challenged to plan & promote the event, while also managing the silent auction and sponsorships asks, the team developed and adhered to a timeline of communications to keep everything in order. Communication with venue vendors, caterers, new & old donors, and rental companies were all involved in the planning process. Event logistics planning, market research, digital communication and more also went into the implementation of creating a successful event.
